| Pediatric CPR and First Aid for Child Care Providers |

This course has been approved by the California Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA) for child care providers. This class consists of CPR and choking guidelines for infants, children and adults.
First Aid consists of information and practice for recognizing and treating shock, bleeding control, injury and illness assessment and specific first aid topics including poisoning, burns, stings, seizures, allergic reactions, self injectors and asthma. Nebulizer information is covered in class and handouts go home with students. Prevention topics are an integral part of this pediatric focused program.
There is no written test. Students complete the class by demonstrating the skills and communicating they understand the procedures.
Along with the books, students will have an emergency plan and wallet skill guide to take home for future use.
Upon the successful completion of this class, the students will receive a card, valid for two years. EMSA stickers will be attached to the back of each card with the number recorded with the state.
- Classes available in English and Spanish
- Meets the licensing requirements for Child Care Providers, Bus Drivers and Teacher's to CLEAR credential
- Excellent for new parents, grandparents, babysitters and the general public
- Certificate is valid for two years
- This class is 4 1/2 hours long (8 hours for child care providers)
- Classes available weekdays, evenings, and Saturdays for licensed childcare

| Class Times:
All of our 8 hour programs are held from 8:15 am (arrival between 8:00 and 8:15) and 4:30 pm. There is a short lunch break.
